SWB

Realmark works across a large section of the Perth community and recognises the more we know about and work within this community the better we can help our clients and support and attract the best staff.

The Successful Women in Business (SWB) program - started by director Anita Percudani in 2004 – is an example of our commitment to the development of our employees. It is an internal support network attended and supported by women within Realmark with the objective of bringing women together on a regular basis to network and share knowledge and ideas. It transcends office location and role types.

At Realmark, 70% of all staff are women – from receptionists and administration staff to some of their most successful agents. The achievements at Realmark can be attributed to the commitment and continued positive contributions of all women at Realmark.

Mrs Percudani says of the SWB initiative: “It is inspiring to see our women bonding over common issues and problems as well as sharing success stories and approaches. They return to work from our sessions regenerated and enthusiastic.

“Junior staff are mentored and supported by more senior women and encouraged to seek career advancement while also offering help and advice.”

Leadership Matters

Realmark is proud to be associated with The West Australian Leadership Matters speaker series. These events are held several times throughout the year and are attended by a cross-section of Perth’s business fraternity.

Our involvement in, and sponsorship of this important series reflects our commitment to supporting the Perth business community in which we operate. It also supports and facilitates a process that is aligned with our own approach to business – sharing information and ideas.

In 2008, speakers have included breakfast with Wesfarmers managing director Richard Goyden, lunch with World Vision Australia chief executive Tim Costello and an insight from AFL chief executive Andrew Demetriou into what really goes on at footy’s headquarters!

We encourage our staff as part of their own professional development to attend and benefit from the knowledge, ideas and lessons learned that are imparted at these events.
